• Educate yourself about single-payer health insurance with the Physicians for a National Health Program website resources, CaPA slideshow, or by attending a PNHP Leadership Training Institute.

• Contact Gov. Schwarzenegger and ask him to support SB810.

• Contact your assembly member or state senator and ask them to support SB810.

• Join or Renew your membership in CaPA and PNHP or donate directly to CaPA.

• Give a grand rounds presentation with the CaPA or PNHP slideshow at your hospital or institution.

• Organize a session or panel on health care reform at the next meeting of your medical association or specialty society. (You can speak yourself or invite a speaker)

• Perform outreach by speaking to your local church, civic or business group about single-payer.

• Write an op-ed or letter to the editor of your local news publications, or those of your medical association or specialty society. PNHP has a handout with tips.

• Organize an editorial board meeting with your local newspapers to tell them that physicians and citizens support single-payer reform.

• Meet with your legislators to tell them that physicians support single-payer.

• Attend PNHP’s Annual Meeting to get updated on the latest health policy data and have fun with like-minded physicians.

• Introduce a resolution into your specialty society.

• Invite your colleagues to join CaPA and PNHP.
